Miura & Partners (partnership), Miura & Partners LPC and M Partners LPC (“the Firm”) will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (“Personal Information Protection Act”) and all related laws and ordinances and will handle personal information appropriately as set forth below in this Privacy Policy.
1. Acquisition of Personal Information
The Firm will obtain personal information by legitimate means.
2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Firm will use personal information for the following purposes. Personal information will not be used outside of the scope detailed below without the consent of the individual, except in those cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other relevant laws or ordinances.
- Performing legal services (including work on cases and communications pertaining to such);
- Notifications of lectures or seminars, newsletters, greeting cards, or other communications related to the Firm's services;
- Responding to inquiries;
- Screening or contacting candidates for employment and human resource management after recruitment; or
- Any purpose incidental to those listed above.
3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Firm will strictly comply with the Personal Information Protection Act and all related laws and ordinances regarding the provision of personal information to third parties.

5. Securing Personal Information
The Firm will properly manage all personal information and take preventative measures against any disclosure or loss of or damage to personal information by implementing internal operational procedures and staff training.
6. Requests Regarding Personal Information
If the Firm receives, from an individual whose personal information is in the Firm's possession, a request to disclose, correct, supplement, or delete that information, or to suspend or cease the use of that information, or to cease providing that information to a third party, or to notify the individual of the purpose of use of that information, or to disclose a record regarding provision of the personal information to a third party, the Firm will promptly respond to the request in good faith in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act once it has been verified that the request is being made by the individual to whom the information relates.
The Firm may not be able to comply with any request that does not meet the requirements of the Personal Information Protection Act or may be permitted by that Act or other related laws or ordinances to refuse the request.

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
Upon appropriate review of procedures with regard to the handling of personal information, the Firm may amend the Privacy Policy as needed.
